I got all set up and ready for thunder and lightning, and all we’re getting is a light rain.

 

More mental prep than anything. Drinks and snacks in the tubby and a tripod to set my phone up to record video if it’s a really good light show.

 

No I haven’t, but to go stormchasing is on my birthday list. I would adore that.

The closest I’ve ever been is during a downburst the sky went green. I thought we might get one then, but no.

 

We finally got some heavier rain and a little bit of lightning, but not much. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

 

Tbh it was fairly tense; I was desperately trying to unclip the gazebo top so I could get it off before it was ripped off. It was a rather tempestuous moment, my ex and I hollering at each other trying to be heard, my hair whipping around.

He told me later I was grinning like a fool; I enjoyed every minute.

I know it’s crazy, but it’s not the only thing I’m attracted to that’s dangerous for me.

I was just annoyed by people yesterday.

Went to the beach and a family sat practically on top of me, even though they easily could have sat a bit further away from me, as there was plenty of open space.

Just stupid annoyances .. kid running around like a nut, throwing sand everywhere, and it got in my eye. Mother spraying sunblock on him .. but they were so close, it kept hitting me and my salad I was eating. People leaving their garbage all over the beach, even though there are trash bins everywhere. People are very inconsiderate.

But what really got me was seeing another mother smack her kid across the face (kid was probably 3 or 4) .. and then literally drag her across the beach. It was very upsetting, and I didn't know what to do. Other nonsense occurred, and that's when I thought "Now I know why I like animals more than I like most people," which is something I usually feel guilty about.

 

Your moment of Zen was interrupted. Frustration set in when you were trying to get away from it. You should pat yourself on the back for not erupting and letting all of your pent-up anger out on them. Even if they deserve it.

I was at a Baseball Game last week. Made a trip to Boston, 3 days, to watch this game with my daughter. A dad was there with his two sons, maybe 5 and 7. They moved down 4 rows towards the end of the game and sat behind us. Every time our team would do something good, the kid would punch me in the back. I turned around after the second time and asked him if he had a problem. His dad just looked on and smiled. I fully understand the feeling of wanting to kill a kid every now and then. Luckily our team won. We left before the end. Would have loved to have seen his face after the last out.

 

Many people seem to just let their kids do whatever the heck they want, these days.

 

It's psychological. Shoppers will usually go for a % off rather than a lower $ price, even if the % off is not the better bargain.

And it's actually illegal to have the same items on a reduced price more than a certain number of weeks in the year. If caught, the department of weights and measures fines retailers for doing that.

 

It’s all marketing bullshit. Like when you buy a car for $35,999 - it’s “UNDER” $36,000. People fall for that so quickly. Yet, they don’t balk when the dealer adds tax, title, tag, etc and it comes to $40,000.

Personally, just set the damn price and quit negotiating. If it sells out too fast, you underpriced it. If it doesn’t sell, you overpriced it. The market will dictate the price.

Don't know haha. I don't think so. I thought it could have been because I had music on and my Windows are wide open. But it's never loud so...

I live close to a train station , many appartment blocks and stuff. Often lots of noise , people arguing, maybe some minor dealing ...

I just live here because supermarkets are close and to catch the train to work. You know I am a good boy, right ? Just naughty sometimes.
