Fallout: 2377

After Mattystereo uploaded his Fallout maps, it inspire me to take a look at mine again, I ended up changing various things in regards to the outcome of New Vegas, and the conflicts that would arise.
North America: Although the North American states have faired better than most of the world since the end of the Great War, it's still pretty awful to live, and warfare is pretty common. Loose alliances still exist, but these are not set in stone. In Mexico, a group of Americans from Texas set up shop immediately after the great war, and read the books on Israel, Saul and David to understand what happened, and incredibly religious to boot, the descendents of the Churches in Texas all coalesced into the New American Church, which has become one of the largest religions in post war America, especially in the South West. However one of their biggest challenges in their expansion would come from a new strain of Super Mutants. This breed was created by a scientist who figured out how to reproduce them at a quicker rate. Threw fermentation below ground, dna pod roughly the size of a football could produce two Super Mutants, one intelligent and one dumb. He created this army in North Mexico, which came to war with the Empire. For ten years their war dragged on, but the scientist was eventually killed and the leadership was killed along with him. The Super Mutants soon went furth North, however Legion and Brotherhood forces in Texas fought them as well and soon they settled in the region known as the "Plain's Badlands", where they continue to fight with their neighbors. They spread everywhere under there Emperor, James Austin and conquered many small states in post-war Mexico. The Brotherhood on the East Coast defeated the Institute, and under Maxson formed a powerful Feudal state. Although the core regions in Washington, the Midwest, and the Carolina coast are ruled with a firm hand, in the Commonwealth and other similar regions, they usually rule through proxies like the Minutemen. After Maxson's death, a cult has evolved in reverence to him as a god and has become the de facto state religion, however the two other religions that exist, the Cult of Atom and New Catholicism have risen to great prominence, the former becoming a greater nuisance to the point where military action is being considered and the latter becoming a direct competitor and popular to many lower class Brotherhood subjects. In the South in the region once known as Arkansas, a Vault-tec experiment to create a new race based on an attempt to reverse engineer human revolution(because why not) goes horribly wrong, and this group of Mutants takes over the Vault and leaves. The Mutants look like a strange cross between Apes and Human(imagine the Sun Wukong from Journey to the West but with facial features more human, and their females are still pretty so the perverts have nothing to worry about lol). They are still able to breed, oddly enough so their race is able to expand across much of the South. Ironically they still maintained their ancient Christian religion, though it has largely changed due to the their cultural divergence from other humans. In the West, the war for New Vegas broke the nations of Caesar and California. Mr. House, thanks to an intuitive Courier, was able to play off both states and gained independence for New Vegas. The NCR and Legion being pushed out were forced to adapt, change or die. Mr. House's victory would also go to securing the existence of many smaller states not gobbled up by either the Legion or NCR, such as the Mormons and trade between the two regions was common. New Vegas would grow to a prosperous little nation, and would look to many like a pre-war Switzerland, but this powerful state would have no issue in fighting it's neighbors, or absorbing small pieces of land. Caesar's actions in the war caused a lot of doubts within many in his ranks, but thanks to a doctor's procedure, he was able to get over his physical issues and regained prestige through his expansion further East into West Texas. However in order maintain his society, he appointed one of his Legionaries, Cassius Trajan, to help create a new economy. Through him, he was to build an agricultural-market economy that could survive without constant war. Cities were formed or rebuilt as it were, and the Legion was able to prosper temporarily despite this loss. However after the deaths of Caesar and Trajan(who would succede Caesar later), the Empire nearly crumbled and under the powerful General, Marcus Caligula was able to reform. The Empire would soon become highly de-centralized with the many provinces being their own separate states ruled by local Princeps effectively and the title of Emperor would be chosen via an electorate election. Meanwhile in California, the entire nation nearly crumbled due to the cost of the war. The Kimball administration was seen as a disgrace, and raving revolutionaries took to the streets of California's largest towns and cities. A full scale civil war broke out, and a left-wing tyrannical dictatorship took hold, the New California Council Republic was formed initially however it went as swimmingly as the French revolution. Executions were commonplace, and revolts from lower class citizens were bloodily put down. When the Holy Columbian Empire moved into the region after the First Super Mutant War, the North American War soon began. Old enemies like the Legion and California allied with each other, along with a Brotherhood detachment in Texas, formed a Tripartite Alliance against the Empire. In reaction, a new alliance formed, the Empire along with House, the Kingdom of Apemen(and other lower tribes), the Mormon States, and the Khanate formed their own Grand Alliance. The North American War would last between 2331-36, and would end with California's second collapse, the Legion's temporary fall before it's rebirth, and the Brotherhood of Steel complete removal from Texas and the creation of the Texan Federation.

After the war, another Mutant group, another 22nd century creation, the Intelligent Deathclaws came about. Although initially some tried to fight against humans, most set up small states all across America, usually in massive numbers. Most humans are too scared, and some even have strong alliances with some of the major powers like the Empires of Columbia and Rome. In Louisiana, the Holy Columbian Empire has set up shop, and fought a massive war against the Kingdom for control over the region. This war mirrored the conflict in Vegas, most people agreed but the Columbians were able to come out on top because of the lack of a Mr. House figure. Kingdom disintegrated and has become a small bunch of chiefdoms and protectorates under the control of the Empire. In California, the fall of the second republic later saw the rise of the Californian Empire, under another influential General, what else is new, but developments have changed as he married a princess from Columbia and due to the New American Church's spread, has turned it to the chief religion and makes visits to New America City(Mexico city) quite often. The Khanate has recently mended ties with the Californians, at the behest of Columbia, while trying to maintain it's borders from the encroaching Super Mutants and new menace, or old as some consider. A new brand of Communism has taken a hold over North America, in the former region of Seattle and British Columbia the once mighty but corrupt Cascadian Republic(which at the time of the NAW, was really just Washington state, North Idaho Vancouver and south BC), fell to this new Communist insurrection, thanks in part to charismatic(and Cult leader) Charles Heckensbee, and his party of neo-commies. The 4th Red Scare as it was called forced many to act. The legion which saw a Christian Communist Slave rebellion within their borders, committed themselves to isolation and the alliance between the Brotherhood, Columbia, Khanate, Caribbean, California, Vegas and other small states has been forged in the wake of this new conflict. In the South, a massive insurrection has formed in the wake of Columbian occupation of Louisiana and the war against these new reds(led by a Synth from the Commonwealth no less) has expunged massive amounts of resources in trying to put it down. The Brotherhood has recently stepped in to aid from the Eastern theatre but it's unknown how exactly the war will end. With the everliving threat of Communism, many feared the beginning of another North American War and it's almost began arguably with the Cascadian-California War in the North, and many Columbians have seen tours of duty in both California or the South fighting Communists. The only state that hasn't committed itself to the War in the West is the Brotherhood but that soon may change in the coming years. Meanwhile to the ices of the far North, a new power is on the move. Like the Vault-Tec experiments down in the United States, a bunch of pre-war eggheads had some funny ideas in their head. Try to create a super-soldier project, but it largely ran by descendents of the Nazi regime in old-world Germany, and their allies. This new order or Realm, is looking to beyond it's territory in the North and is beginning it's own push down South. Like the Columbians, they to want to see North America united but under a different ideology, one not unlike the Masters of the Super Mutants, but without the need to breed via abduction, these strange cultists are looking to transform the continent, one corpse at a time.

The inspiration for this map was the moment I realized that Bethesda is pushing the Fallout series into a Warhammer-like world

Update: Added some Deathclaw Hive Kingdoms, a Peruvian Theocracy and the Free Republic of Cascadia as an analogue to Taiwan.
